Greg Evans was first elected to the Board of Directors
of the Northern Virginia Soil & Water Conservation
District in 1996 and reelected in 1999. He is up for reelection
again in November 2003. As a Director, he has worked with
state, regional and county leaders to successfully put
forward natural resources initiatives that have increased
open space in Fairfax County and Virginia and improved
the water quality of our streams, lakes, rivers and the
Chesapeake Bay.
Highlights of Greg’s Work Include:
Working
with the leadership in the General Assembly during the
2003 legislative session to successfully restore $2 million
in water quality related programs that create incentives
and technical assistance for landowners to promote adoption
of voluntary land-use practices to protect water quality.
